A delightful sponge cake suitable for any occasion, flavoured with zesty lemon and a dash of elderflower essence. You can now add a personal touch to your Lemon & Elderflower Cake with a heartfelt message which our decorators skilfully ice on top of the cake. 

Description

Our Lemon & Elderflower Cake is so light that it melts in your mouth! Scrumptious lemon soaked sponge layers are covered in creamy lemon and elderflower mascarpone frosting and the cake is decorated with candied lemon zest, piping and gold sprinkles arranged in a half moon shape to leave enough room for a personalised message of your choice on the top. You can also select one of our quirky and fun cake designs instead of the standard border such as a cat or sausage dog and add your message. 

Your Personalised Lemon and Elderflower Cake can be delivered to a London address by selecting London Cake delivery at checkout or you can pick it up 7 days a week from our bakery.

Cake Storage Instructions

Our cakes should be stored in the fridge and taken out about one hour before serving for best results.

Our cakes are freshly baked and should be consumed within seven days of collection or delivery. If in doubt, please check the Use By date on the bottom of the cake board.

Cake Serving Suggestions

Our Frosted cakes come in three different sizes and all give generous portions.

  • 7” cakes will serve 8 to 12 slices.
  • 10” cakes will serve 16 to 26 slices.
  • 12" cakes will serve 30 to 42 slices.

Our Cheesecakes come in two different sizes and all give generous portions.

  • 8” cakes will serve 8 to 10 slices.
  • 10” cakes will serve 12 to 20 slices.

Our Pies and Tarts cuts into 8 portions. 

If the cake is for a bigger party and smaller slices can be done, the numbers above will be slightly higher.

Before slicing the cake, we recommend that you heat up the knife by dipping it in hot water before wiping away any excess water.

Once the cake has been cut, we recommend that you consume the remaining cake within three days to prevent the inside going slightly dry.

Our products are packed in custom made, recyclable cardboard boxes that fit perfectly and prevent any movement during transit.

Good look, but not great to eat

I chose this cake because I read there was cream inside, so I was expecting a cake way less dry. Just one line on thick, buttery cream in the middle. Not even a quarter of the cake was eaten. It was good for the pictures.

A beautiful and delicious cake

The cake was both beautiful and delicious. Sponge was light and very moist, perhaps having had lemon juice and elderflower cordial drizzled through it. The buttercream filling was light and fluffy and the message and drawing of a sausage dog made us smile.

I placed an online order for next day delivery. Jack & Beyond were really quick to respond to my emails and were accommodating to some design requests! The buttercream was tasty, although unfortunately the cake flavour itself was somewhat lacking in lemon flavour and tasted more like a plain vanilla cake. Perhaps this wasn’t the best flavour to order. Thank you for the speedy and friendly service regardless!
