Questions About Our Products

Where are your products made?

All of our cakes, brownies and treats are handmade in our on-site bakery. Our bakers are busy bees and bake 7 days a week so you will always receive a freshly baked cake.

What ingredients do you use?

We believe that better ingredients make better cakes: All of our delicious bakes are made using only high-quality ingredients such as British dairy, free-range eggs and finest Belgian Callebaut chocolate.

How big are your cakes?

Our standard Celebration Cakes are 2 layers high and come in 3 different sizes: 7“ (8-12 portions), 10“ (16-26 portions) and 12" (30-42 portions)

We can add up to 2 additional layers to all of our cakes or create tiered cakes on request.

Can I personalise my cake?

Yes, you can personalise your cake in a few simple steps with a message of your choice and either choose our elegant standard border or go for one of our more playful designs.

Head over to our Personalised Cakes section to get started.

Can you do Bespoke Cakes and Wedding Cakes?

Absolutely, we stand for creative baking at Jack & Beyond and our talented bakers love to create stunning bespoke cakes and wedding cakes. All of our decorations are handmade and we are happy to work with your ideas and themes to make the perfect, personal cake just for you.

Email us your ideas to info@jackandbeyond.com and one of our expert Cake Consultants will be in touch.

You can also have a look at our range of themed cakes and wedding cakes.

Can I request specific flavours when ordering a cake that are not part of your current range?

Generally we recommend to choose a cake from our diverse standard range as our bakers have tested and perfected these recipes.

We are always happy to try and accommodate special customer requests when this is possible, however, please understand that we will charge an off-range-fee (depending on the complexity of the cake) and that we might have to decline your request if a suitable recipe or ingredients are not available or due to a particularly high production volume.

Dietary Information

Are your cakes and treats suitable for vegetarians?

Yes, all of the products in our current range are vegetarian, including our award-winning Mince Pies.

Do you offer gluten free cakes and treats?

Yes, we have wheat-free cakes and brownies available that are baked without using gluten flour. However, please note that they are made in the same kitchen as our gluten based products and even though our bakers have strict measures in place to prevent cross-contamination, there is a always a chance of traces of gluten on our free from products.

Do you sell any vegan products?

Yes, absolutely! We have a wide range of vegan cakes and treats.

Are your products suitable for people with a nut allergy?

Most of our recipes are nut free, however, all of our cakes and treats are made in the same environment and we do bake with different kinds of nuts in our kitchen. Even though our kitchen team have strict measures and procedures in place to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products don't contain traces of nuts even when nuts are not listed as an ingredient.

Storage

How do I best store your cakes and how long do they keep for?

Frosted cakes should be stored in a refrigerator but we do recommend to leave the cake out at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving as the flavour & texture is best when the product is not too cold.

We guarantee that cakes for customer orders are always freshly baked and will last refrigerated for 5-7 days.

How do I best store your brownies and how long do they keep for?

Our brownies can be stored at ambient temperate in an airtight container and last between 5-10 days depending on the flavour you choose.

Brownies can also be frozen for up to one month.

How do I best store your Mince Pies and how long do they keep for?

Mince Pies can be kept in a tin or airtight container for up to 2 weeks and do not need to be refrigerated.

We require 24 hours notice for standard Celebration Cakes (including personalised cakes), brownies and treats.

Bespoke Cakes and Wedding Cakes usually require 1-2 weeks' notice depending on the size and complexity of the design.

I need a cake in less than 24 hours, what do I do?
