Description

The combination of sweet, airy meringue and tangy lemon makes this popular pie simply irresistible. It is perfect as an afternoon treat with tea or coffee or as a light pudding after dinner. Our Lemon Meringue Pie is baked freshly in our Bakery in Battersea using free range eggs and British dairy and can be pre-ordered for collection or London Cake Delivery.

Cake Storage Instructions

Our cakes should be stored in the fridge and taken out about one hour before serving for best results.

Our cakes are freshly baked and should be consumed within seven days of collection or delivery. If in doubt, please check the Use By date on the bottom of the cake board.

Cake Serving Suggestions

Our Frosted cakes come in three different sizes and all give generous portions.

  • 7” cakes will serve 8 to 12 slices.
  • 10” cakes will serve 16 to 26 slices.
  • 12" cakes will serve 30 to 42 slices.

Our Cheesecakes come in two different sizes and all give generous portions.

  • 8” cakes will serve 8 to 10 slices.
  • 10” cakes will serve 12 to 20 slices.

Our Pies and Tarts cuts into 8 portions. 

If the cake is for a bigger party and smaller slices can be done, the numbers above will be slightly higher.

Before slicing the cake, we recommend that you heat up the knife by dipping it in hot water before wiping away any excess water.

Once the cake has been cut, we recommend that you consume the remaining cake within three days to prevent the inside going slightly dry.

Good but not yet great

This was a lovely tart however, think the proportions are wrong as per previous customer feedback. The beautiful fluffy meringue top is delicious but extremely sweet. The lemon curd needs to be a lot more sharp to cut through and balance this. There also needs to be more of it. Currently this is a meringue tart with a touch of lemon vs a lemon meringue. Think with some tweaks this could be outstanding and should there ever be a recipe update, I would definitely buy again.

The base layer wast tasty, there was a generous amount of meringue. Could have had more lemon curd. Generous size. Delivered on time, as promised. We would order this again 💛

Fluffy, light, - perfect lemon meringue!

It’s so hard to get lemon meringue right and Jack & Beyond is one of the best out there. This was a lovely light alternative to cake for a birthday celebration. The delivery was smooth and the packaging perfectly preserved the meringue all the way across London. If I had to change one thing it would be to slightly increase the lemon to meringue ratio. Otherwise, top marks!!

Not enough lemon!

Lemon needed to be sharper/more tart to counteract the sweetness of the meringue but the pie looked lovely and the meringue itself was amazingly light and fluffy

I ordered a lemon meringue pie for Mother's Day and it was so good. The meringue was just so light, fluffy and sweet and went so well with the lemon. Highly recommend!
