Inspired by a popular dessert recipe from Hong Kong, this delicious cake consists of vanilla sponge layers, fruity apricot jam and vanilla frosting and is decorated with toasted coconut sprinkles.

Description

This beautiful Celebration Cake comes with two layers of fluffy vanilla sponge, filled with buttercream and tangy apricot jam and covered in our signature vanilla frosting. This cake is based on the famous apricot jam mini cakes from Hong Kong and an excellent choice for fans of lighter cake options which pair well with tea and coffee. Our decorators finish the cake with toasted coconut sprinkles around the sides and elegant, flower-shaped piping on the top.

Cake Storage Instructions

Our cakes should be stored in the fridge and taken out about one hour before serving for best results.

Cakes with a fondant covering do not need to be stored in the fridge. Keep at room temperature in a cool, dry space instead.

Our cakes are freshly baked and should be consumed within seven days of collection or delivery. If in doubt, please check the Use By date on the bottom of the cake board.

Cake Serving Suggestions

Our cakes come in three different sizes and all give generous portions.

  • 7” cakes will serve 8 to 12 slices.
  • 10” cakes will serve 16 to 26 slices.
  • 12" cakes will serve 30 to 42 slices.

If the cake is for a bigger party and smaller slices can be done, the numbers above will be slightly higher.

Before slicing the cake, we recommend that you heat up the knife by dipping it in hot water before wiping away any excess water.

Once the cake has been cut, we recommend that you consume the remaining cake within three days to prevent the inside going slightly dry.
